La Fille aux Cheveux de Charcoal

Seems cool for using French as my post title? Oh, don’t worry.  If you get the philosophy, you’ll laugh.  Search La Fille aux Cheveux de Lin on Youtube, and you’ll find a beautiful piano piece from Debussy.  It’s a music about the girl with golden hair, as golden as corn. La fille means a girl, cheveux is hair, lin describes the corn-like-colour.

Now you get it? I borrow Debussy’s title, but I change de lin with charcoal.  You know charcoal, the jet black stuff used by artists, make up artists, and skin care manufacturer! Yes, I just want to simply describe my black hair, while I’m in obsession with French. That’s all.

Today, on this rare Sunday-on-holiday, I would like to talk about a hair product. I won’t focus on the black-coloured-hair, haha.  It has nothing to do with hair pigment.  Because I want to share my thought about this:

Yep! Le Brume Mist disciplinante by L’Occitane en Provence.  Formulée à partir d’un complexe vegetal d’origine naturelle associant 5 huiles essentielles et des extraits de miel et de maïs. Yes, you read that right.  It’s a hair mist with a twist! No, I mean with a natural origin vegetable complex of 5 essential oils and honey plus corn! Honey and corn! Yes it contains corn, but my hair will always be charcoal.

What is it for? It’s made for you who want to remove unpleasant odors left on hair (such as cigarette smoke, cooking odors they said), and it supposed to be a little treatment for your hair, since it contains good oils! Oh, and, yep, it’s silicone free.  A lot of people avoid silicone for the hair.

And the meaning of control is to make your hair more likely to be controlled, you may find your hair smoother than ever.

How is it on me? I love this hair mist.  The end.  Bye.  See you on store later!

LOL.

I have a mist from Etude House, it smells lovely, the bottle is pretty.  Unfortunately, my hair and her ( I believe that Silk Scarf Hair Mist is a female ) are not a good match.  It’s a little too oily in the end.  It contains oils, and maybe something my hair doesn’t like.

This L’Occitane one leaves no bad impression on me.  It smells amazing, like a mix of grass field and flower and it’s sweet somehow.  When I apply it through my hair with hairbrush or hand fingers, it’s a little thick, not so runny.  Slowly, it absorbs, and even if I spray a lot, I don’t find my hair becoming greasy at all! Instead, my hair is softer and fragrant! Woohoo!

Oh, and, just so you know, it really does remove terrible odors!

From the ingredients side, well, not the perfect one, but I’m quite satisfied. :)

Here is the list, I make it simple:

aqua, alcohol, glycerin, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, honey extract, hydroxypropyltrimonium hydrolyzed corn starch, parfum, angelica extract, angelica root oil, rose-geranium flower oil, lavender oil, cananga odorata flower oil, orange peel oil, propylene glycol, polyquaternium-10, limonene, linalool, citronellol, geraniol, benzyl alcohol

So how’s your first week in January, people? :D
